ABSTRACT Street homeless people face stigmas in addition multiple unmet needs, which may include physical, psychological, mental health and social needs to name a few. Their life expectancy is shorter than that of the general population. Mental problems are common but street considerable barriers accessing support. Institutional approaches from system re-traumatise seeking care cause moral injury burn-out staff. Given high rates trauma people, trauma-informed should be used. Professionals make every contact count, using it as an opportunity build trust with honesty consistency find out what matters person, well taking practical steps such ensuring means contact. Engaging person9s wider support system, workers organisations, key they have good understanding how affects person.
